Secret recording shows Nunes saying Rosenstein impeachment would delay SCOTUS pick.

"So if we actually vote to impeach, OK, what that does is that triggers the Senate then has to take it up," he said on the recording. "Well, and you have to decide what you want right now because the Senate only has so much time.”

He continued: "Do you want them to drop everything and not confirm the Supreme Court justice, the new Supreme Court justice?"

"The Senate would have to drop everything they're doing ... and start with impeachment on Rosenstein. And then take the risk of not getting Kavanaugh confirmed," Nunes said. "So it's not a matter that any of us like Rosenstein. It's a matter of, it's a matter of timing."

ok, it's not really all that surprising. He's just saying what we all pretty much knew. Only now it's all on tape. Essentially, he's caught lying to donors. The Rosenstien impeachment had no chance of moving forward. Nothing to do with timing. Ryan just wasn't having it. If it was a matter of timing then they shouldn't have introduced the articles of impeachment in the first place There's another part of the tape where he talks about why it's so important for Republican's to keep the majority.

Meh. That only proves what a fucking idiot he is, to have ever believed that he could actually impeach Rosenstein.

That boy's out of touch with reality.

I don't think he ever thought he could do anything other than give the president a reason for firing Rosenstein, though it would be a flimsy and political one.

As if he couldn't get support for his stupid impeachment proposal because he secretly asked his fellow Representatives to vote against it. Hell, he probably made this tape and leaked it himself.

Heard the recordings on Rachel. Proof positive of what a devious weasel Nunes is.

    He is also not smart.

Did you hear the Senate Committee wants to interview Assange? Give Burr credit for standing for his Country.

Nunes lives in his own special world to where he really believes there is a real choice.

His delusion has to come from his own perception of his own power.

One can never really be sure as to the amount of these people's own bullshit they believe. It is getting more difficult to determine whether these people as so stupid as to think people are buying their bullshit, or if they really actually believe there own shit.

Nunes is scared to death, trying to bully his way through because like Chris Collins, Nunes was deeply involved
in the transition and is quite aware of just how crooked they all are.

This expose is going to bring in many more Republicans. That is the reason so many are getting out of town. 46, I think at last count.

Why would firing Rosenstein have value?

And if it did, why not order Sessions to fire him?

It's like Trump is trying to strategize off Watergate, but fails to grasp that the Saturday Night Massacre (Nixon fired the AG and Assistant AG for refusing to fire Archibald Cox, the Investigator) was disastrous for Nixon.

    but , that's the question.
Will it be disastrous for Trump?
Nixon didn't have Fox News or twitter to constantly mislead his supporters. He didn't have his own "Nunes".
Even though, yes, one of the charges in his impeachment articles was misleading the public.
