North Korea threatens to scrap armistice ending war

North Korea threatens to scrap armistice ending war - Yahoo! News

Hmm, it seems that Kim Jong-Un lied to Dennis Rodman when he said he didn't want war. How shocking!

This is pretty much an entirely pointless gesture, North Korea and South Korea never signed an armistice, and technically, they've been at war for decades.

North Korea has time and time again threatened violence against the world around them and I'm pretty sure nobody has taken them seriously since the end of the Cold War.

It's nothing. On paper, for example, Russia and Japan are still at war, because they never signed a peace agreement after World War II, because of the Kuril islands issue. But, I doubt they would actually ever start shooting at each other again. Well, Russian and Japanese fishemen, I heard, do occasionally ram and shoot at each other in the disputed waters, and Russian Coast Guard has shot and killed at least one Japanese near the Kurils. But, I mean, actually the two countries, their militaries going at each other, probably will never happen. Same here, sure, there have been lots of little incidents over the years between South and North Korea. But, I doubt there would be another full-scale war. Nobody wants that.

Does anyone else get the feeling that the days of the North Korean regime may be limited?

Seems that even China is tiring of this silliness.

And, seriously...it seems to me that a United Korea, or, a "new" North Korean Regime, that follows China's lead, would be FAR more beneficial to the Chinese. The only negative for them, would be that NK would no longer be a sore thorn in Americas ass.....

Wasn't it last year that a NK sub sunk a SK warship?
