That and the fact that up to half the deposits belong to Russian money-launderers, and the already reluctant EU peoples wont stand for bailing out non-EU citizens as well.

This is why my suggestion would be that citizens of Cyprus be exempt from the tax.

Nobody knows - investigations are ongoing. Cyprus isn't that rich a country though, and it's banking sector is bigger in proportion to it's population than any other EU country, so there's a lot of foreign cash. How much is legitimate money taking advantage of convenient terms and how much dodgy mafia cash is an open question.

None of this justifies taxing small accounts, however.

"Olsen served two tours of duty as a data network specialist in the Iraq War, was awarded seven medals (including the Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal), and received an administrative discharge as a lance corporal in November 2009 after serving four years.[121] While still an active-duty servicemember, Olsen created a website called "I hate the Marine Corps" as a forum for "like-minded grunts to vent". Despite the site's title, Olsen insists he doesn't in fact hate the Marine Corps, nor does he regret his enlistment.[122]"

administrative (less than honorable discharge), no wonder you love him....
he thought for himself, so he paid the price. course, he didn't needlessly shoot any civilian children, which kinda crosses him off your list of heroes, eh, killer?

right, he publicly criticized the corps, and was vilified for it, because the marine corps is apparently too sensitive to brook criticism.

your heroes in that helicopter, on the other hand, gunned down and orphaned kids for no good reason, and suffered no consequences while earning your admiration.

i think you need to re-evaluate what you do and don't consider a "disgrace." but i don't think you ever will, because you don't do your own thinking. to the extent you think at all, you let the military do it for you.

He couldn't hack the Marines, and failed to live up to the contact he signed for. He is a disgrace.

    lol, he recieved "7 medals"

    Iraqi Freedom Medal
    the National Defense Medal
    Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal

and the highest one I can see he was awarded was the:

    Navy achievment medal...

I also see he "gave them back"..... funny, not as riveting to give back non combat "achievment awards".... lmao
