    That's a convincing argument.........

Good luck with your "One Party State," but, this is America.

I don't think that will be all that stable of a system........

Human nature, and the Stranglehold the Two Parties have on the system these days will likely preclude that.

Get ready for a "One Party State," and where that will, inevitably lead....

No. The GOP will let the clock run out and then it will shit it's pants. And then there will be a continuing resolution, after damage has already set in, and the GOP will take a hit in the 2014 elections. There are just so many whackadoodles in the GOP, esp. in the HoR, and they are chomping at the bit to "shut it down". Well, let em, and when the ship capsizes, they will then realize what they did.

What bothers me, just a little , that Repubs and their media outlets will start saying how this is Obama’s fault and the MSM will report this as news.

It happened with the sequester, when GOP started saying it was Obama’s idea in January, while Congress and the White House were ostensibly trying to work out a deal to avoid it. No one in the MSM bothered to ask why Obama had to put sequestration on the table.

    Shut it down.

There will be great wailing and gnashing of teeth in Baggerland.
Then why would the right-wingers be trying to end these programs?

Your logic doesn't really make sense now does it?

Oh that's right, its liberal logic.

    LOL

All of them if we are talking about the "right-wingers" or Tea Party people as you on the left like to call us.

Its the standard GOP that doesn't want to shut any of this crap down.

    Kind of a big difference.

The mass of crazy is going to get even crazier when they have to choose between their teabagging “principles” and getting their Social Security checks.
The Government Subsidized Glibertarian brigade is just crying out for cruel irony and that it would be cathartic, all things being equal, to watch the assholes finally get a taste of their own medicine, but it’s not like it would persuade them to change their minds. They’d just see it as another example of “The Government” screwing them. They’ll blame everything on Obama, for being so darn extreme and unreasonable that he refused to pass the teabaggers’ very reasonable suggestions. And while they’re suffering, there’ll probably be several hundred rumors circulating that Hispanics and blacks and union members are actually weathering it better than they are, because they’re getting Secret Handouts from the Department of Affirmative Action and Political Correctness.
    Farce, Marx was right.
Good! Debt is 75% of the GDP, and that is using fixed numbers.

    Here from Jack Lew today...

W]e are relying on investors from all over the world to continue to hold U.S. bonds. Every Thursday, we roll-over approximately $100 billion in U.S. bills. If U.S. bond holders decided that they wanted to be repaid rather than continuing to roll-over their investments, we could unexpectedly dissipate our entire cash balance.
Now the yield on t-bills are expected to jump in a couple of weeks. This will spark a sell off. The country, under Obama, will default.
