Government's Health Care Deadlines Shift Again

Government's Health Care Deadlines Shift Again | RealClearPolitics

The Obama administration announced Friday it has adjusted the Affordable Care Act calendar once again, making it possible for consumers to enroll for health insurance through Dec. 23 in order to be covered on Jan. 1. The administration decided to stretch purchasers' decision-making allowance by eight days to accommodate continued challenges prompted by work underway to build and repair the federal website, HealthCare.gov.

Also announced Friday was a delay of the 2014 enrollment period, which will push the start date beyond the Nov. 4 midterm elections.

Hmmmm...interesting. Could that be because the new rates are most likely going to be considerably higher than expected which would continue to cause major problems for the Democrats, or could it be what is cited in the article?

The administration denied this, saying the change was made to accommodate the needs of private insurers. Officials said the companies welcomed the extra month of data-gathering before setting their final policy rates for 2015.

“The reason for doing that is to make sure that the insurers have the benefit of more time to evaluate their experience from this year and take that into account as they determine what would be necessary for their 2015 rates,” Bataille said.
IMHO, you would have to be a complete idiot to believe anything this administration is putting out there about anything and Obamacare in particular. Now, I am not saying that the Republicans are much better at this point, but anyone with even a hint of common sense can see just how flawed this law truly is. The only options that the Democrats have is to try to minimize the damage and get the worst of it over before the 2016 elections.

Hillary will run on a platform of improving the law, your Winger/Bagger will run on a platform of repealing it and replacing it with tort reform and interstate junk insurance for all. Which platform will prevail? My guess, the public will want some form of UHC and will vote accordingly. I see a landslide victory for HRC in 2016.

Can cite the executive authority to alter or change laws that don't meet the executive agenda?

The Reichstag wrote the laws, but the Fuhrer implemented them & had lots of latitude in doing so.

It is wrong for you to compare President Obama to Hitler. It's disgusting.
