    Wishful thinking.

You're absolutely correct. A&E has not violated Robertson's free speech rights at all. But apparently, Robertson did violate his contract with A&E, which is why he's in hot water with them now.

You're also correct that if the rest of the Robertson clan follows suit, that they too, will be dropped from the show, or the show cancelled outright. Where I think you're wrong is that another network will pick them up. I can't imagine that another network would not have a similar clause in their contracts as well, that would preclude the Robertsons from such public displays. That being the case, why would any other company pick up the show, knowing that these people have already violated their contract with another company?
I think the sermon he delivered was before A&E bought the show. As far as I know, the only incident in which he may have violated his contract, by telling the truth, is the GQ interview.

A&E just doesn't want the lawsuits and advertisers to leave.

According to the Bible, Phil is right. Also, in the Bible, it tells us not to judge (judge not or ye be judged) . Phil should leave that up to God to decide. The best advise I could give all of my fellow Christians like Phil is be kind and nice to all human beings (love thy neighbor as thyself) as God loves everyone. God will judge everyone, not us.
But pastors take an oath to preach the full Gospel. This involves giving admonitions on the destructive effects of ALL sin. A similar sermon on the evils of having too much money would not be offensive to Leftists. But let a preacher say it's wrong for a man to poke little boy in the butt or murder an unborn baby and OOOOH FUUUUUCK NOOOOOO to that bogotry and hate from the Right Wing.

Leftist judges often let child molesters off with a proverbial "slap on the wrist"; and the Left has claimed the murder of the unborn as its most sacred sacrament. You people accept anything and evertything that is wrong and reject that which is right.
