Nope. If he is able to accomplish what he set out to do then hell yea I would, but I know that some don't really want him to be successful and will stop him. From both sides too, hell these politicians aren't millionaires by accident.

You would have to re-read the post I quoted, it was a package deal that could make it a success, not just lowered taxes.

Neither. Re-working trade deals, penalizing companies for leaving the country, having less foreigners available for cheap labor, lower taxes, etc.....the combination would increase wages significantly.

With the right claiming real unemployment is at 20-30%, how do you figure a labor shortage is going to force higher wages? I predict no increase in wages, in fact, I would not be surprised by a Republican House that would lower or eliminate the minimum wage.

Abolish the Minimum Wage - Support In Congress

You have much more faith in the populist leanings of the Republican Party than I do.

People are staying out of the workforce right now because it is more lucrative to do so. As people are getting laid off to bring in foreign workers at reduced costs while Americans are then payed to stay home on welfare and food stamps. Increase wages naturally and people will be incentivized to work. There is no incentive for them to work right now, remember, the left wanted it this way? So people could float around and be creative and find their way? Seems pretty silly in hindsight now don't it?

Its not so much faith, like I said, I don't think they can pull it all off. I think they will get bits and pieces but not enough for it to be successful. I have faith in ideas, unfortunately I have no faith that our government will function to bring those ideas to life.

How great will America be under President Donald Trump? It depends on when you ask.

During the election, Trump pledged that he would oversee a rate of “tremendous” economic expansion as high as 6 percent. But he has moved the goal post several times since then, dialing back expectations.

    snip

    September 2015
Trump released the initial version of his plan to overhaul the nation’s tax code, during a news conference at Trump Tower in New York. His proposal slashed the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 15 percent and collapsed individual tax rates into three brackets, with the highest rate falling from 39.5 percent to 25 percent.

During the news conference, Trump gave this forecast of how much his tax plan would boost growth:

“We're looking at a 3 percent, but we think it could be 5, it could even be 6. We're going to have growth that will be tremendous.”

Let’s dissect that for a moment. Trump first suggested that the impact of his tax plan — which the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center estimated would cost a whopping $10 trillion over the next decade — would boost growth only modestly to 3 percent. But he then dismissed that estimate as too low and provided another forecast of double that amount.

I will take the low end of his plan 3% Hell we have not had 3% Annual Growth since GW Bush was POTUS.

If we get 5% everyone will be saying Obama who? Hillary who?

Minimum wage will not increase the economy.

Øbama is the first POTUS to not have real growth of 3%.

High growth in a bubble then a crash like Hoover and Bush Jr gave us is not great economics. Trump is promising more voodoo economics just like we had with Bush. He will double the deficit in 4 years.
