Well Bush was Right. the Crash was another Example of Democrat incompetence.
Bullshit, Republicans controlled both the House and the Senate for 6 of Bush's 8 years.

You don't get to blame Democrats for shitty governance when your party controlled the Presidency, the House, and the Senate, sorry, your party fucked the economy over, own it and love it. And get ready for part two as you own the economy again for the next 4 years, I guarantee you it will be fucked to its knees by 2020. That is what Republicans do, you know it, and everybody else will know it shortly.

Greenspan is not a Democrat, never has been, never will be. He is a follower of Milton Friedman, you might of heard of Friedman, right? No? The father of "trickle down"? The master of supply side economics? The guru of Paul Ryan?

Guys, deregulation occurred when lobbyist for financial institutions spent record amounts of money to convince Bill Clinton AND House Republicans to deregulate.

It had bi-partisan support -- quit trying to blame the other side.

So people could float around and be creative and find their way? Seems pretty silly in hindsight now don't it?

Its not so much faith, like I said, I don't think they can pull it all off. I think they will get bits and pieces but not enough for it to be successful. I have faith in ideas, unfortunately I have no faith that our government will function to bring those ideas to life.
You seem to hold a fictional view of how welfare in the US works...you dont get to decide that you dont want to work and just collect welfare (nor is it lucrative)...try that and find out how fast you are simply HOMELESS with no help at all.

There is no incentive for welfare, IF you actually get it (and many dont, its mainly going to single parents with minor children...if you are just unable to find a job, dont qualify for unemployment...well you are homeless)....BUT if you actually get it, it means living in the ghetto...not exactly fun, definitely not some incentive.

Between technology and the global economy, jobs are simply reducing in number....new types of jobs dont really keep up with the types of jobs that are lost. There is no way to force companies to stay in the US and pay their share of taxes and decent wages when they can go to nations where they can treat their employees like slaves and pay them the same way. Those are difficult facts, not easy to address issues. Then add climate change..and yes its real....we have some major issues headed our way and we are going to have to radically change the way we distribute resources, the way we live....or we cause our own (and many other species) extinction...

I personally believe we need to start looking at sustainable living models combined with basic income guarantees....we cant keep doing things the same way, we need to adapt, if we dont, we die.
