Blame that on the taxes the German government charges so they can afford to babysit all the Muslims.

You can get Minis that aren't turbocharged, if you're looking for long-term reliability. If you want a turbo, then plan on buying new and selling after about three years. Same with a hybrid. You don't want to keep one long enough to have to replace the battery. Buy it new and dump it before it becomes a maintenance nightmare.
Friends of ours made that mistake with their old Prius. They loved it and figured it was worth keeping. When the battery was replaced the dealer also had to do some sort of upgrades to the computer system since the new batteries are different and it had to be reconfigured. Cost over 4K. They were shocked.

    I thought Obama saved Chrysler?

As far as I know VW sells in the USA about 3% of the own production. Subaru sells there more cars than VW, I heard. Very good cars the cars of Subaru, very impressing company - nevertheless I don't think this more little company is able to produce cars in the USA. The problem: The German customers of VW have to pay for the incompetence of VW in the USA.

Yes, I think everyone has discerned your hatred of Germany. That said, you're still wrong regarding sales of VWs in the US.

Don't worry. Our government needs this taxes to build a wall in the middle of the Atlantic, so our refugees don't sail over and you don't have to live in fear of their nightmares.
