But no one is willing to pay for it.

Which can be done now but companies say it cant. Which is bunk. We are in need of an IT person at work that can basically do simple tasks. Nothing too complicated, just basic knowledge for 12 computers. Local community college has 15 people lined up for interviews but management says we need someone with a Masters Degree. A bunch of us pointed out that nobody with a Masters degree is going to work for 30K a year doing this. Now they think we need to bring in someone on a visa for it. Its crazy. These kids are excited at the prospect of a great job for a college graduate. I take what these companies claim with a grain of salt.
Thanks from Babba, Libertine and labrea

Exactly, companies write unrealistic job specs and demand someone custom tailored for their opening, then cry that there are no candidates out there.

It's one way big business has worked to keep wages down.

Yes and the salaries as well. We could work full time at Chipotle and make as much as some of these jobs requiring a Masters degree. No debt either.

I think its starting to really work too. Looks like kids are having second thoughts on going to college and getting into so much debt. Then we will have more problems long term.

What's that? And be as specific as possible.

Did it ever work? No, all it did was make the rich richer, increase tax burden on everybody else, and allowed the rich to control politicians to continue to make them richer

You want your kids to be guaranteed a high-paying job?

You better be rich enough to get them a high-level technical or college degree in robotics and robotic maintenance....

or rich enough to OWN a robotics company.
