    Yep, and then there's the housing prices in Tokyo.

    Money is only worth what money will buy.

    I live in a lower cost area, and make less, but my housing dollars go farther, LOTS farther.

    When I lived in Northern California many, many years ago for every one mile a person was willing to commute to San Francisco, you would save BIG money.

    I knew a guy who car pooled 6 hours a day with three other guys, and to me quality of life is more important than that.

    Yes, but look at you...not fighting the current in a giant freezing city living on a square of concrete jungle. Boy are you missing out.

    Actually I love Chicago. It used to be among the most affordable places to live in the country, too, earning power-vs-cost of living. But that was a long time ago, may be totally different now.

    And if you like breathing room, if you're not a kid looking for excitement, really, there isn't a city anywhere you could pay me to live in. Chicago is my favorite, but I'm too old for that shit now...
