The context was VW, if you are not capable of understanding it, not my problem.

run along now. no one cares about your peanut factory.
No one? I bet the spouses, children, siblings, other relatives, and friends of the people that were killed by that peanut company executive certainly care.

Pretty astonishing of you to claim that they don't. Pretty callous of you, too.

I don't think that's the real reason new car sales are in a long-run decline. I think people are anticipating the arrival of driverless automobiles, which will reduce the incentive to even OWN an automobile, in the first place. We have probably already hit PEAK AUTO SALES. The car companies know this, I think. The insurance companies, too. Driverless automobiles are gonna KILL the car insurance companies. I won't shed any tears.

Driverless cars are the last thing on my mind. They will be expensive, the technology isn't risk free. Insurance will still be needed. Some like driving a well handling car down a beautiful stretch of road.
Driverless means taxi. Economics is a concern to many. Tax bite is economics. I want a new car for the fun of driving it, I don't like the tax hit to do that.

If driverless cars virtually eliminate accidents, which is exactly what many expect, then why on EARTH would we need insurance??

At some point, very soon, people are going to realize that computers are simply much, MUCH better at driving than humans are.

No such thing as perfect technology. Technology has to be maintained and calibrated. Things break.

More than 30,000 people DIE every year, on average, in auto accidents in America. There is EVERY reason to believe that we can eliminate almost ALL of those deaths with the kind of technology we should have within the next five years or so. It would be wildly irrational of us, as a society, not to seize that opportunity. Of course technology has to be maintained and calibrated. So what? How many people died in airplane accidents last year? ONE. That woman who got sucked out a window on the Southwest flight just recently. That's it. ONE.

Post #86. That was YOUR post. And here is what you wrote:

please link to evidence of "poisonings".

    And I did EXACTLY THAT.

And here you are, bellyaching about it.

Gee. Maybe you've been poisoned. Better check in with your doctor. Of course, maybe it's just embarrassment.

read the post that replied to and apply the context, when you are digging a hole, and want to get out, stop digging. your inability to comprehend or understand context of a conversation is not my problem, you not putting me on ignore like you cried and promised, is however.

    Kinda weird, isn't it?

See the bolded, that's the evidence of "poisoning" the conversation was asking. your hysterics, and tantrum aside, you are going on for days now because you can't figure out what is being talked about.

At best it's a misunderstanding between us, but you are far too emotionally attached to realize how silly you look.
