That's because there isn't one. You will never get an honest debate about the totality of taxation from leftists because ultimately they're only making the case for MORE. So, naturally they must obfuscate, ie taxes are low today but high in the 1950s, they bolster these ludicrous claims by myopically focusing on factoids rather than the totality of taxation. They will NEVER focus on that. EVER.

Itís normal to reiterate the argument/talking points youíre addressing. It isnít a straw man unless the point is bastardized in order to attack it. That really isnít happening here.

What do you think of this? I remember the History Channel where the Government chased Rockefeller all over the Country.

We know, for sure Putin is pulling the strings now, thanks to that fool in the WhiteHouse and his gang. Who pulls Putinís strings? 😐?

At this point I do not think any of this is too far out.

Gee,I lived through and remember those recessions very well. 49 not so much, but for sure I remember the 60 one, and the 83 with several others in between.

Sure pal, and I'm not REALLY a STL Cardinals fan. It's just a coincidence that I happen to hate any team playing them at a given time.

I've noticed whenever a conservative mentions the past, they are accused of wanting slavery reinstated and women's voting rights repealed. When a liberal opines about the past, well, that's different.
