I give my HIGHEST recommendation to Robert Gordon's book The Rise and Fall of American Growth. If anyone wants to understand WHY America is NOT going to get back to the kind of 4% or 5% economic growth rates that we enjoyed in the 1950's and 1960's, you MUST read Robert Gordon's massive tome. He is widely considered to be the world's leading expert on the measurement of productivity. Just a random reading of the readers' comments on the Amazon reviews of that book should be enough to convince you that it is a MUST-READ.

I don't expect much because Obama left a shitty economy behind.
How odd, considering that Obama left Trump with an economy that had 76 consecutive months of private sector job growth, which was an ALL-TIME record at that time, and that has now stretched out to 90 consecutive months. That is the economy that Mr. Trump inherited.

In other words, in short, you have not a clue as to what you are talking about.

And none of us here are particularly surprised by that.

It still amazes me how so many still don't understand Trump.

It's a goal and a goal Obama gave up on by deciding 2 percent growth was the new Norm.
So, so even you agree Trump is a lying sack of shit?
I understand bombastic snake oil salesmen and con artist very well. You apparantly do not.

And what sort of economy did Obama inherit fro Bush? Obama steadily IMPROVED the economy when he took office.

The ones stopping firms from polluting our environment and pushing species into extinction. Sigh. You just don't get it! We can't AFFORD to protect our environment and save species from extinction if we want our economy to GROW!! We've got to be willing to live with more pollution! Even if it lowers our life expectancy! It's WORTH it!!

The S&P 500 peaked on Jan 26, 2018. Over past 4 months, stock market has lost almost 27% of its gains since Trump's inauguration

Man I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm tired of all this "winning"
