During the trade wars of the 1930's, it wasn't so much that the stock market crashed that bothered ordinary working people, who tend not to own much stock; it was the millions and millions of JOBS that were destroyed. When they lost their job, that's what mattered to them. I'm not sure you understand that the trade war of the 1930's did destroy millions of jobs, and made the Great Depression of that decade much worse than it would have been, otherwise.

    and it's quite possible that history will repeat itself.

    If it does, of course, Obama will be to blame, never Trump I'm not sure how, but the Trumpsters will figure it out.
