Dow Futures Tank as Trade War Fears Grip Wall Street

Dow Futures Tank as Trade War Fears Grip Wall Street

Trade war fear has descended on Wall Street.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell 140 points as of 3:43 a.m. EST. Monday, S&P 500 futures dropped 13 points, and Nasdaq Composite futures declined 40 points.
The economic recovery for which Trump likes to claim credit may be about to end.

Yes. Yes, his link was a week old. But ironically, it could have just as well been written last night! Because Dow futures (and S&P futures, and NASDAQ futures) were down last night, as well, and it was due to, yes, intensifying fears over a generalized trade war.

And, if you did follow the markets today, well, gee. The markets did fall. The Dow was down almost 500 points at the session lows, and the NASDAQ did fall more than 2%. You know, that's a significant amount. Five falls of that magnitude, and we're in a correction. Ten falls of that magnitude, and the market has crashed. The Dow has now fallen in nine of the last ten sessions. Were you the guy who was calling it a 'buying opportunity' at the beginning of last week?

At some point, you galoots are gonna realize that a trade war is for real, and that trade wars do REAL damage to economies, and that trade wars are NOT "good, and easy to win". At that point, you will, presumably, stop being a Trump supporter/acolyte/groupie/disciple.
Thanks from Friday13, Dittohead not! and labrea
