    Ouch....don't remind me.

I don't think we have that on our plate, but we are headed towards a very dark 2019. It's been widely predicted.

    From the first link there:

The tax cuts championed by President Trump are helping push the nation toward an unprecedented level of debt, heightening the risk of another financial crisis, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.

The budget office’s annual look at the government’s long-term financial outlook paints a grim picture, projecting soaring deficits in the coming years, with debt ultimately peaking at more than 152% of the nation’s gross domestic product.

“The prospect of large and growing debt poses substantial risks for the nation and presents policy makers with significant challenges,” Keith Hall, director of the budget office, said in a statement.

LeRoy: In short, aboutenough, we are in a MAJOR debt bubble, and Americans are spending themselves silly, just as they did in the run up to the massive financial/banking/credit crisis of 2008/2009. Which is WHY Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein recently said, with dark humor, that "I haven't felt this good since 2006."
Tax cuts really came at the wrong time. We should have cut spending first, but that takes a lot more skill. Maryland is a good example of cutting spending, because we cut fees and tolls as well. We also increased education and cleaned up the Chesapeake bay. A republican Governor, no less. You can do amazing things in a blue state when you avoid social issues and concentrate on $$$

The one thing you cannot do if you want to be reelected, is to lose jobs. Voters will not forget that.

It looks as if @Helena is just to that right of the grizzly, but that can't be so.

    Freaky for sure.

I don't know how you teach table manners to a grizzly bear.

And getting him to understand the difference between the salad fork and the meat fork? Impossible!!

Wonder if sitting next to the bear is a place of honor or of execution?

Considered by many wildlife biologists to be one of the most intelligent land animals of North America, bears possess the largest and most convoluted brains relative to their size of any land mammal. In the animal kingdom, their intelligence compares with that of higher primates.

Yeah... right. Trump is suddenly going to consult with someone, and maybe global warming will take care of itself, water will turn into wine, and heroin will be prescribed for teething babies.
