This is a sure way to start a run on banks once it becomes well known. Mike, I think june will be the month when it all starts to crumble.

Really? You think limiting the amount of wire transfers will now start a run on bank? I wonder what percentage of people out there actually do wire transfers over that amount? I doubt enough to consider a run on banks.

Me either. All of them I never did were unlimited. And maybe, just maybe in your life you did one or two large ones. But re-look at what I asked Mike and be honest with yourself. How many people do you think this truly effects?

The cause will effect us all. It is like she says, this is trench warfare. It obviously effects the banks.

I couldn't disagree more Mike. I guess thats what makes the world go 'round. I am fairly confident however that we are not going to see a run on banks and that most people such as myself will not even think this is an issue. In fact, one could argue that it makes banks stronger.

Well disagreement is the spice of life i guess. Keeping your money makes the banks stronger....ponders.....thinking....well I guess it does. Hey giving them our taxes hasn't helped.....

It's not so much to do with wire transfers but the idea that your account with a bank is supposed to be available on demand, not a week latter.

Thanks, now thats a good point. But your money is available to you right? You can withdraw over 10k and get it somewhere say via Western Union right? You can take out your money and close your account even right? So everything is available to you right? What is being limited is a bank service that has been available to you. right?

I am asking right a lot because that is the way I understand it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

That being the point, had instead they put a cost of 20% on bank transfers over 10k avoided this fear? It would basically eliminate the practice as well, but your money would be available in that format.
