Yes. No? I'm pretty sure - yeah. I'm gonna go with yes.

You either intended to sound racist or you did not. Nobody knows but you.

What we can know, though, is if you use that word in that way again, it isn't innocent.

    Get over it.

IDK why some people here can't say "I was wrong and I apologize".
I wasn't wrong and I don't apologize. That's the entire point. I am mocking the idea of forbidden words.

I may be an arrogant know it all deserving of a plethora of put downs, but who gives a flying fig newton?

It's word play! It's not my job. I'm here to entertain.

I think the communication gap is just that and not much more. I was given my meager education before PC began to infest, corrupt, bend, shape, twist and impose.

I think it's awful PC of you to get all upset just because someone doesn't like a word you've used. Should we all start using it so you'll feel better?

Thus, the Thesaurus Thread. Here, you can figure out other ways of saying the forbidden word without offending any snowflakes or pinheads. Offensive word has been hidden.

    As synonyms for "uppity"?

Ok... just because someone doesn't approve of a word you've used. Maybe, for PC sake, everyone can go back to using it so you don't get all emotional about it.

My neighbor used the word elegant to describe something this morning.

It's not exotic and doesn't fit the nature of the thread but it's been a while since I heard that adjective when another would have fit & I thought it sounded great.

If a primate escaped from the zoo and took up residence on my front porch, just because there's a certain two word phrase that would be accurate to use when describing it, doesn't mean I wouldn't search for an alternate term.
    Thanks from NightSwimmer and BigLeRoy
