He's got it wrong: Fox News is "Just as dangerous as terror groups"....actually MORE dangerous & they should either be required to "Come out of the closet" & register as the official media arm of the GOP/Teaparty...or they should be forced off the air & off cable! (I'm not trying to stop them from speaking....but just want them to be honest about WHO is really talking!)

How, really, with any sense, decency and humanity, can anyone actually watch and listen to this retard?

Universities are mostly dangerous to Glenn Beck. Critical thinking skills are like kryptonite to him.

When did it become en vogue in this country to disparage education and praise ignorance?

You're kidding, right? It's been a popular stance for a long time. It was one major tactic of the anti-New Dealers, since the "Brain Trust" were all from Ivy League schools.

At least Beck is no hypocrite--he's taken just one college course. Mostly he's self-educated. After he stopped drinking (he's an alcoholic), he began a quest of self-education. Here's what he read:
As Beck has recounted it in his books and stage performances, his first attempt at self-education involved six writers that formed a strange sort of Great Books program. Beck's curriculum included books by Alan Dershowitz, Pope John Paul II, Adolf Hitler, Billy Graham, Carl Sagan, and Friedrich Nietzsche.

With a reading list like that, Beck's clarity and comprehensiveness of thought makes perfect sense.

The GOP has patterned their whole platform on exactly that theme!

Actually, there's another strain in American life from college-graduates against ELITE colleges and universities. Richard Nixon is a good example (he went to Whittier College). He specifically eshewed the Harvard and Yale types, insisting on drawing his advisers from places like Ohio State.
