What colour is it? Apparently the Brexiteers find the "pink" (it's more dark purple) EU one is traumatic, despite the fact that the UK chose it.

People are not good on other people's accents, ever - the English talk about a 'Welsh' accent, when there are several, extremely different, and most British people perceive only a generalised 'American', though very informed ones may hear Deep South, and people with the right relatives may sometimes be able to distinguish Canadians. I was once in a pub with some American servicemen who challenged me to distinguish their accents. I got the first one - 'Sounds like New York', I said, 'but there's something underneath, Italian maybe'. He was impressed: 'Yes', said he, ''I'm a first-generation New York Italian'. The second gave me real trouble, and I just couldn't get it at all. He laughed 'Basically,' said he, ' I'm a Sioux Indian - we don't actually have red faces!' With the third, however, I had no problem at all - 'I can't give it a place on the map', I said, 'but it is absolutely standard American, could come from anywhere. Where do you come from?' 'Swansea, said he - been over there nearly five years now!' I leave such things to the experts now.
We're losing our accents, as well as our local dialects. It's a damned shame, IMO.

Personally, I sound just like Michelle Obama. If Michelle Obama cursed. A lot.

    LOL.

    Aren't you a sweet person?

Come and visit Cleveland, @Leo2. I'd love to make you a nice cake.

Some UK people claim they are TRAUMATIZED by the color of their passport's cover?

Their grandparents must be so proud. I'm sure this is the level of maturity they hoped their progeny would display, as they suffered through the Blitz and fought off the Nazis.

I also signed up over there. Can't get my tea and biscuits avatar to work, though.
    Thanks from Madeline

Maybe they have to flip a switch to allow new members to make changes. I got my avatar up.

I think their software system is a bit buggy - it took me three goes to post my details and it still doesn't accept my location (not that that matters). I have yet to post anything there, as there doesn't seem to be a section for introductions - but they will find out soon enough what a viper has slipped into the nest!
    Thanks from Madeline

I couldn't enter the location either, not in the designated area, so I put my location in my custom user title.
    Thanks from Leo2 and Madeline

Thanks Madeline - that's some cake, not a single calorie there! Lol, not that I'm a health freak or anything, but the GF has threatened to look elsewhere for her jollies if I get a tum that goes out instead of in.
    Thanks from Madeline

You cannot use an avi larger than 150 x 150.
