WE, the People, pay for their platinum healthcare (and all of them are wealthy enough to afford private insurance), so they just don't/won't concern themselves with those who don't enjoy the same benefit.

I believe "MediCare for All" is equivalent to the "government option" that GOPers demanded be cut from the ACA...single payer. THEY.DO.NOT.CARE.
The GOP would probably be the single payer as long as you don't mind your taxes going up 4 times higher then they are now to pay for it. Ask a Canadian how good their national Healthcare plan is. They will tell you they have to wait a long time for care and they pay a lot of taxes.

Of course they do. Through their premiums, they pay the costs of their treatment plus salaries and bonuses for the HMO healthcare pimps and their acolytes as well as all the poor who show up at hospitals emergency rooms and get treatment.

Or is this some kind of free lunch the Republicans and conservatives say never happens?

My mother was a Canadian and I have many Canadian relatives. They love their health care.

I'm also curious why a mere third of Americans "approve" of our health care industry.
Medicare would be those who want single payer, and thats approval ratings for programs and not our healthcare industry.

The last time I argued this with someone, the statistic was that over half of personal bankruptcies were cause by medical expenses for people with (pre-ACA) medical insurance.

Our national health care plan is great. And we spend way less per person on medical services than you do.

Here's the reality that kills this law one way or another: the health insurance industry is not invincible. It could implode as a result of an adverse selection death spiral. The GOP and conservatives have their heads completely in the sand about this, and haven't a clue what to do about it.

This will sound crazy and absurd and counterintuitive, but what they should do is staring them in the face: introduce single payer. They can deal with accusations of hypocrisy and flip-flopping, big fucking deal in the grand scheme of things. It's the only right and intelligent thing to do, and ironically enough, it could save the party. A collapsed health insurance and subsequently health care industry, on the other hand, could sink the party.
They would gain tremendous support for it. No question the white trash throughout the south would be jumping up and down realizing they not only get to keep their gun in the pickup but they also get free healthcare! The first is always most important.
