And since I'm on blood thinners, I got a home testing machine for my INR readings. Beats the hell out of going to my local hospital's lab once every one to two weeks. Just take the test (similar to the blood glucose monitors) and call the results into the company that makes the machine. They in turn call the local hospital, and I get a call from the anti-coagulation folks at the hospital to discuss my INR levels, and what to do to bring them back into line.
