"ObamaCare" NOT failing says trump's own DHHS

In opposition to republiCon propaganda, "ObamaCare" is alive and well...not failing

Trump's own Department of Health and Human Services: "ObamaCare" working as intended, not failing

New data have been released contradicting Republican propaganda about the “failing” Affordable Care Act. What may be more embarrassing to the hardliners pushing repeal is that it comes from the government, specifically the Department of Health and Human Services.

Under Secretary Tom Price, the department has been a fount of anti-ACA rhetoric. But in an annual report about the ACA’s risk-management provisions issued Friday, Health and Human Services established that the key programs are “working as intended,” protecting insurers from unexpectedly large risks and moderating premiums for consumers.

Not only that, the data “would seem to refute the commonly held belief that the marketplace population is becoming sicker,” observes health economist Timothy Jost, writing in Health Affairs. In fact, according to the figures from 2016 in the latest report, the customer base is getting healthier and the risk pools have been stabilizing.

"Both the transitional reinsurance program and the permanent risk adjustment program are working as intended.”*-*Department of Health and Human Services

The conclusions in the Department of Health and Human Services report confirm that the ACA marketplace was stabilizing through 2016, despite GOP claims to the contrary. In fact, the marketplace did better than expected.

    1. "Obamacare" was based on a republican plan all along, the reason he adopted it was because he figured it had at least some chance of passing.

    2. The GOP did everything they could to sabotage it, that has not been said enough.

    3. Let's face it, the GOP don't really want any kind of HC reform after all, thus their "Wealthcare" bill.

McConnell is looking like a whipped dog on this now, they are going to get around to it "the week after next" if they are able...

Mitch is now admitting his so called health plan is not going to be signed into law. They actually thought Hillary would win,so they just kept spreading the propaganda.

Now,they are faced with the cold, hard truth. They have no plan, just propaganda. They never expected this.

McConnell's smirks have completely gone away. Their lies have been exposed.

    5 Star post.

The reason so many are pulling out of exchanges is because of insecurity on what Republicans will do. Anthem admitted this. They left open the option of coming back.

I was informed by Anthem.that after 3 years they had adjusted to the ACA and more benefits would be coming. They were.lower co pays, etc.

The GOP has to kill ACA. No ifs , ands or buts.

Firstly the 1% wants it done.

Secondly, if the GOP does not kill ACA now, 2018 may freeze it and 2020 may see a 2008 style DNC win.

Well let it stay then and lets see how well it does.

Apparently it is doing just fine even though there are some counties being informed they will have no providers anymore due to everyone having pulled out.

Premiums are set to double this year.

    But its working as intended.

Republicans should just walk away from it.

Working as intended? So they intended for premiums and deductibles to sky rocket and for the marketplaces to collapse?
