Yes. And he's just 4 months old. This is the first time he's been sick, and they thought it was just a cold, but 9 days and much fever later they find out it's more.

First symptoms, go to the doctor, you can be treated with an anti-viral in the first 48 hours. Don't wait.

This flu is rampant here...I have to work this weekend because of census due to the flu. It is a weird one, no congestion and a lot of dehydration due to not being able to keep food or water down. Babies are not even able to keep Pedialyte in their tummy's and it is lasting for quite awhile.

I've been participating a discussion on FB about the flu epidemic of 1918.
The strain was eradicated, yet a few decades back, scientists excavated graves and resurrected it in a lab for unknown reasons.
    Conspiracy theories galore.

I got something like a mild chest cold, no other symptoms, but people around me have gotten really sick. I had to work all this week because the other caregiver got pneumonia.

I'm hoping the little bit of whatever it was I got has strengthened my immune system and is warding off the bigger germs.

I'm using lots of hand sanitizer just in case, though.

Yep... And that medication can reduce the course of your flu virus sickness by up to 1 and one half days, if administered prior to the onset of symptoms.

Same here....a couple of times I felt viral for a day but it disappeared. You are a healthcare professional and have a army living inside you.
