I would starve before I would eat sushi. It looks and smells awful. I am sure it is an acquired taste.

But after reading about North Koreans being so full of worms I wondered why. The North Korean who escaped was full of worms. They did mention bad sampnitation.

But they are all parisites, something I thought had been cured long ago. But we also have the case in Alabama with children.
I think bad sanitation with anything, such as food or environment is a breeding ground for parasites. I am like you, I don't eat anything that appears raw. Just a little pink line down the middle of my steak is my favorite. I can't eat looking at a plate full of blood.

I had calamari the other night for the first time.

It was very good much to my surprise.

A few hours later I threw up.

    Any correlation???

You just better hope there is no worm left.

Seriously,I could never understand why Steak Tartare was a delicacy either. But that is just me.

Might be a good way to lose weight?

For those of you that don't know the Asian tape worm is now in U.S. waters and fish. It's been found in the Great Lakes and probably came in on ballast water from foreign ships like the other 118 exotics.

No worries. I am selective on fish species and how it's cooked. How one cooks it makes all the difference.
    Thanks from Panzareta
