The first sentence of your OP is a hypothetical question about something that hasn't happened to 99+% of the posters on this forum, if it has ever even happened to anyone here.

Same answer applies. If the government won't pay for it, you'll have to pay for it yourself somehow, just like when private insurers won't pay for it. Why should I trust a private company with shareholders and profits margins to worry about with coverage decisions more than a the government which does not, and is answerable to the public through elections?

Of all the world’s democracies, not a single one has ever voted to move from public health insurance towards private. Not one has had a political party advocate for that. Not a single one has had a referendum, or even discussed the possibility of CONSIDERING it. Not a single one.

    Never.

Every industrialized country in the world has universal health care> our system sucks, no amount of stupid shit you say will change that.
The British Health care system wasn't going to spend the money for his treatment. Is this the system you want for all of us?

I look at the mess the government made of the VA, and I don't want any part of bureaucrats deciding what care I should have.

They didn't say he couldn't have the treatment, just that they wouldn't pay for it.

Bullshit. The VA far exceeds private hospitals in their care. It's a proven fact.

The problem with the VA is a lack of Congress appropriating the funding needed to care for a rapidly growing population of boomer and Iraq/Afghanistan returnees.

Of course you never served a day in your life so what would you know?

Btw...Aren't you at work? How about working instead of trolling forums on your employer's dime?

Right. How many treatments would the US government decide that they aren't going to pay for?

Not going to happen. I pay my premiums and keep my coverage. I understand what my policy covers.
