Ali and Stephanie overload....what's going on with MSNBC?

between the two of them they are allotted four hours on MSNBC. Who watches, or not, and what do you think?

Since I know I'm going to be asked. What I do is channel surf. If something catches my ear I'll leave it there. Be it Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, CSPAN, The Food Network, or what ever.

    Prepare for rambling...

Before I'd keep Tamron Hall on as well as Alex Wagner on MSNBC. They are both gone. This Stephanie Ruhle person just all of the sudden got a show from out of no where. Now she's got two shows. One where she's the host herself. Another where she co-host wit Ali Velshi. Neither are really anything to write home about. In fairness, over at CNN it's the same thing with Wolf Blitzer. It's practically his network. Suffice to say, I don't leave any of them on. Greta has gotten a little better though since moving from Fox News.

    Your thoughts?

Oh and any recommended alternative news sources suggestions certainly would be welcome.

    Which reminds me.

How many of you folks get your news from PH?

I don't mind either but I don't understand why so much time for them? There is room for others. Money? Maybe its cheaper to pay these two rather than have 4 separate anchors? Not really sure. I think their new president is trying out stuff over the summer to see whats working and what doesn't. Assume there will be a new lineup come fall. If I am home I typically keep one channel on while I do stuff. At work though all the tvs are set to Fox as its a city hall with attached police dept and that's how they like it. Weird. I set up a news feed on my laptop with all sorts of outlets that scroll headlines by so I can see whats going on.

should have clarified. If I'm sitting there in front of the tele I'll channel surf. At home, I'm usually multitasking so it might stay on a single channel , unless I hear Trump talking. LMAO...

    Retired.

    Except for volunteer work.

    Cheap entertainment.

Oh and yes, hear about something first on PH all the time.

Since we cut the TV cord over a year ago I haven't been watching much TV news. With the Roku I can stream MSNBC but it's a half hour delayed. Don't ask me why. I used to have access to BBC News live, but it wasn't really legal and it's gone now. I can live stream SkyNews but they're only so-so. I have no access to CNN. I can also stream CBSN live. That's where I usually go for breaking news. And I do learn about a lot of breaking news here on PH.

Yeah I got rid of cable a few years ago so I get my news from here, or more specifically, political and conspiracy forums.

They typically post stuff before it hits the major media unless its a planned event or a live breaking event. Once I read about the story I'm off to investigate it which in turn leads to reading a bunch of other news stories and you basically get caught up within in an hour with no commercials.

Important things like a senate investigation I may stream live but usually I wait and just pick it up later on YouTube.

I believe ABC streams with no charge or delay on major events.

I could be wrong on that though.

Set up a Twitter account. You don't have to post anything (I don't) - that's were I get most of my breaking news from.

I don't know why they each have their own show and one combined. I still miss Steve Kornacki having his own show

I don't even know who the OP is babbling about. If s/he doesn't like the people s/he mentioned, change the fucking channel. Not watching isn't all that hard.

    Sure explains a lot, though.

yeah, same thing can be said about posting on threads we don't like.
I want to see you say this next time Trump, or any one of your buds on PH, complains about "fake news".
