The press may not top the list of those who earned blame for the election's outcome, notably including former FBI Director James Comey, Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook, various unnamed Russian malefactors and Clinton herself. But she has legitimate grievances over how she and her opponent were treated by the American media, particularly several of its most illustrious outlets.
Yep, the so-called liberal media performed pretty horribly. Downright malpractice.

It's so strange that a book written by a person so supposedly hated is flying off the shelves, and tickets for her appearances are sold out.

Other losing candidates have made different choices about how public they wanted to be after their loss, but I can't recall a single one who was told so emphatically by so many people to keep his damn mouth shut. Part of what makes this so unfortunate is that Clinton probably has a lot of interesting things to say, if she chose to say them. As New York magazine's Rebecca Traister (who has reported extensively on Clinton) told me in an email, "Hillary Clinton is not like every other candidate ever to run for president. She is the only woman in American history to have been a major party nominee for president, to have run in, to have lost, to have won the popular vote in, an American presidential election. That makes her a crucial historic figure, and one who—while she is still alive and her memories of her experiences and perspectives remain fresh—SHOULD be talking about what she's just experienced."
    Exactly.

That is the reason so many attack Clinton. They have nothing good to say about Trump,so they just hate.

They attack her because she is a lying corporate monster who has no idea how to campaign and then blames everyone else for her loss.

Even the links in the OP blame everything but Hillary.

Why don't they mention all the states she never bothered to campaign in, or the fact she called half the nation deplorable?

Instead they blame Comey running an investigation.

    Its sad really.

Nobody in the media is eager to hear Clinton's perspective on that catastrophic election cycle — especially not the part about them and their performance. They would rather not reflect on why her "damned emails" were so ridiculously overemphasized. Or why Trump enjoyed constant and groveling promotion as a television spectacle. Or why journalists produced so many misleading "investigations" of the Clinton Foundation, yet so very few examinations of Trump's longstanding connections to organized crime. Or why vital policy differences between the two candidates received a tiny fraction of media attention.
    this.

It's so unfair that reporters kept covering the story after she continuously lied about it and refused to answer questions about her behavior.

And it doesn't matter how many times she accepts responsibility for her unexpected defeat by Donald Trump in the Electoral College. Pundits and reporters insist she hasn't acknowledged her guilt sufficiently, with the requisite sincerity. So the best choice, according to the press, would have been for her to say and write nothing.
    ~ Joe Conason

This is the point where I have to note that she was an imperfect candidate who made mistakes, just like every candidate who ever ran for anything. I'd also note that I have written many critical things about her over the years. But that has nothing to do with the malignant loathing that continues to get poured upon her every time a word passes her lips. And yes, that hatred still matters, because it tells us how powerful a force misogyny continues to be in our politics. Given that there are at least four Democratic women senators who could run for president in 2020 (Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar, and Kamala Harris), we'll be dealing with issues around gender and power in the next election, too.
    ~ Paul Waldman

yes, they do state that she made mistakes, but denying all the other things that went on during the campaign is denying reality. Pretending that the media did a horrible job in relation to how they covered HRC and Trump is stupid. Pretending what Comey did had no effect is stupid. Pretending the Russians didn't interfere with the election is stupid.
