    Docu-gate was not a "mistake".

    It was intentional ......

    Sigh..

He's not the only one who think that not believing in the free press is a scary thing.

I've heard other's say the same thing.

    And Washington Free Beacon really?

You do realize that site has a heavy conservative bias right?

Looks like Rather might be right after all.

Your inability to read is astouding. He didn't make anything up

Decades of being one of the best and most respected journalists in the country does make him a spokesman for media veracity. And one mistake doesn't erase that. Your logic, as usual, is so simple minded and idiotic. Why would anybody admit your point when it is so dumb?

Then he shouldn't have based a story on fake documents.
And instead of complaining about bias, would you like to point out any inaccuracies in the story.

Yes he did make something up. Do you have some kind of reading disability? He used fake documents for a story. If the information was accurate, which it was not, then he should have used legitimate documentation.

No he should not of done that.

And neither should O'Rielly get away with his multiple lies...but he did.

You seemed want to only focus on what he did in the past, rather than the message he is trying to send now.

    But what about...what about?

If someone puts Bill O'Reilly on a show to lecture about the evils of sexual harassment then you'll have a point. Until then that doesn't make Dan Rather not a hypocrite and the Today Show not ridiculous.

    I get it.

You don't think he should be commenting on what a scary thing it is that the free press is not being believed in this country for something he did over 20 years ago and paid for it with his job.

And it's not just sexual harassment O'Rielly lied about over and over.

Dan Rather helped usher in the mistrust of the press.

He's not a good spokesperson for the cause.
