msnbc having a difficult day after firing of lauer.

this isn't going to be fair.

But, every time I've caught MSNBC today I've heard a host say how "difficult" a day is for them. Of course, they disclaim that by acknowledging how difficult it must be for the accuser. But...there's just something off putting about the host making the coverage about themselves. Without knowing the details it's not fair. Who wants to tune in and watch them feeling sorry for themselves? It appears that Lauer engaged in behavior that is inexcusable. They ( the anchors or coworkers of Lauer) aren't the victims here.

What I find strange is the admission by NBC that this was "not likely" to be an isolated incident...

Might as well say "we knew what was going on but it was ok while he was making us money, but now that he's been accused we must treat him as guilty or we might be liable for allowing his abuses to carry on for years.

Have not read details on the Lauer accusations/story yet.

But agree. It does seem a little early for the likes of Kathy Lee Gifford and others to already be in "we forgive you, Matt" mode...

“While it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over twenty years he’s been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident,” Lack said.

That doesn't sound like they were aware of other incidents before now.

The vast majority of sexual harassment and sexual assaults are not reported. It wouldn't be surprising the management knew nothing about them.

Probably with Matt but Charlie Rose's producer did know about his behavior. Although I did catch someone earlier suggesting that "serious shenanigans" do go on with NBC at the Olympics. Not sure what that means but maybe more will come out.

After a paper thin separation from admitting they knew this was going on...

Remember, If you aren't treated the person as guilty for the mere sniff of an accusation that makes you a supporter of that kind of crime.

    You guys set the standard.

Not based on their response... but it doesn't matter because they are leftist sexual predators, right?

Wow you would think from your response that they did something like sign him to a new contract after a $30 million doaller settlement
