The crime being investigated is Russian interference in our elections. Trump is a prime suspect in helping them not only because he benefitted but for a number of other reasons that show probable cause. You're just ignoring that. Trump officials met with Russians. Trump officials tried to create backchannels to Russia. Trump officials lied about meeting with Russians. Repeatedly.

One basic element of investigations like this is to follow the money. Trump's businesses have been involved in lots of stuff over the years, some of it involving Russians who pay cash for his condos, for example.

Another possible crime arising from this matter is obstruction of justice.

If it were up to you, no investigation of corruption by any official would ever take place, since there is no apparent crime until it's investigated. It's not like a murder where you have an obvious dead body that it appears someone killed. The whole point of corruption is that it's not obvious or public. It's a secret, and you're suggestion that anything we don't already know about (i.e., a secret) should ever be investigated because we don't know about it before it's investigated.

You're also asking us to judge a case before we know all the facts. If there's no Trump crime, it will be hard for Mueller to find any. If there IS a Trump crime, it will be hard for you to argue that we should ignore it because it was somehow fruit of a poisoned tree. You should do what I'm doing, and reserve judgment until the investigation is complete.

You're being blind, or ridiculous, or both.

When you have a lot of institutions aligned to your political party and a HUUUUGE echo chamber, it's easy to fall prey to the delusion that accusations are just as good as proof.

This case would never be investigated by a non-politicized investigator. Contact is not proof and Trump wanted to build in a market that looked ripe for his primary career (not politics). After the people voted him into office, the evidence required to investigate would have to be far more weighty not less so, which is what we have here. The very idea that we are waiting for Mueller to find a crime is deeply flawed.
