I've got the television on CNBC a lot of the time. Or C-SPAN.

The habit of all cable news stations to take a kernel of news and turn it into a an all day speculation orgy makes it unwatchable. MSNBC is the worst, panel after panel of people reacting to "Trump said a thing".

On Sundays, I occasionally watch Fareed Zakaria on CNN.

That the media put Trump in office. It's a tired meme that does nothing but attempt to pass off responsibility. Trump was put in office by those who voted for him. Period.

The "news" media were a big help.

Especially Morning Joe, they had him on their show many times, because it got them ratings.

    Thanks MSNBC!

And for those who don't want to see "Trump news" or WH press conferences, here's a simple suggestion: change the channel, or turn off the TV.

    Easy Peasy.

Nope. Anyone who understands the concept of personal responsibility knows different.

Trump got base validation through exposure which was provided by an enthusiastic media. If not for that base validation he never would have gotten the nomination. Lots of people hold rallies. Trump rallies were heavily covered.

My delusion is shared by many.

Yes, your attempt to pass off responsibility is shared by many. I agree. I also understand the reason behind it.

If a network cuts away to a rally showing Trump doing something disgusting like calling for violence, asking Russia to help him out by releasing emails, being racially divisive, or offensively imitating a handicapped person, the fact that his base sees those things as good and decides that's who they want for president isn't on the network. That's on the individual voter.

Obama was put into office by those who voted for him. Same with Bush, Clinton and those before.

This blame the media for Trump is a sad attempt by regretful Trump voters looking to absolve themselves of their role and responsibility in electing someone they're finally coming around to seeing for who he is.

Why is Trump president? Because of those who voted for him. Period.

Anyone who understands American voters, knows many of them are swayed by some talking head on a TV "news" show, or radio personality.

Or their co-worker, a relative, or a 30 second attack ad during the nightly news.

I don't excuse people for their faults, maybe you do. Just because a bunch of Trump supporters may have been gullible enough to be talked into something doesn't mean they're still not responsible for their actions.

It's also funny that the media is blamed for supposedly being liberal but they somehow conspired to give Trump extra air time, highlighting mainly his negatives, in their plan to get him elected.
