The MSM should cut back its live coverage of Trump

No law says they have to cover him everywhere and he has his own network (Fox) anyway.
He's deliberately staying in the limelight now and I doubt he's improving any network's ratings anymore. (I see him live and change channels immediately)

I wouldn't even cover the WH briefings live anymore. (just recap the lies later)

"Now"?!?! Try always. And they've been shamelessly happy to accommodate him.

He raised their ratings when he was an entertaining whacko.
Now he's just a run of the mill dummy who is boring.

Its like a train wreck, people cant get enough. Ratings are staggeringly high for cable news networks. I dont watch any news programming after 7 pm and I amazed at how well the cable news channels do during the night. For crying out loud, go watch some NCIS, Big Bang Theory or sporting event. It cant be healthy, it just cant.

Their ratings are still up so they cant let him go. I think if the ratings declined they might cover other news. I get Canadian news up here and they almost never even mention him. Its glorious and yet sad that the US is so egocentric.

We only ever hear about him from an economic or geopolitical standpoint. The scandals aren't newsworthy in Australia.

    BINGO!

As long as they get good ratings covering him, they will continue.

    Ratings equals money.

They really arent. Most everything we know about Trump now has happened before. Of all the modern presidents we have had, he was an open book. I can probably say there is nothing he could do that would surprise me. But the media eats it up. Its boring. There is a website someone linked me to here that is basically "5 things Pres Trump did this week" and its all policy related stuff, nothing silly. Serious policies and bills he signed. Its amazing since we almost never hear of them.

He is working the media very similar to the way Adolf did in '32. His body movements are similar also. He is really trying to work into a bloodless coup.

I think a lot of the divisiveness that permeates America today can be blamed on the 24 hour news cycle and these news only media empires. I have been stuck in my hotel room this morning and put on MSNBC around 7AM. The first show talked about Guiliani, Mueller, Cohen, etc for an hour. The next show comes on, same thing, different voices. The next show is a carbon copy, same stuff, different voices. This goes on all day long, every day on each of the news networks. If you want to get force fed Trump bashing, put on MSNBC. If you want liberal bashing, put on Fox. If you want a mix of the two, try CNN. Since my head explodes after about an hour of this shit, I put the shows on mute and never miss a beat. But think of the average person who does not put it on mute and watches any of this stuff for hours on end. Before you know it, you either run away screaming or turn into a partisan hack that hates the other guy. While MSNBC is no where near as idiotic as FOX, it is still news with a view. CNN is so bland trying so hard to walk the tight rope between the two sides that they say nothing. Fox is nothing but propaganda fed to us by morons.
Thanks from BigBob, Devil505 and Blueneck
