Sheriff Clarke: Black Lives Matter Should Be Labeled as a Hate Group

"It's dangerous, it's hateful, and I wish the Southern Poverty Law Center would add them to the list of hate groups in America," Sheriff Clarke said.

He said that the uptick in law enforcement officers who have been ambushed or killed in the line of duty can be attributed to the anti-police rhetoric that is spewed by groups like Black Lives Matter.

"A war has been declared on the American police officer, and it's been fueled by this anti-police sentiment."

    PROOF, GENTLEMEN??????

Making you three anxious is not the sort of injury usually described as "violent". BLM Cleveland has had NO incidents, after the cops overrated at the first demonstration.

You dismiss the agony of the people here, suffering at the hands of thugs in blue, completely. Your lack of empathy scares me.

I think the firefighter should be fired for supporting these racist terrorist.

And, Madeline ..... you can try to make the normal thinking folks disgust for this racist hate group all about you, but it isn't going to work.

We love you Madeline .... and we are also disgusted with violent racist hate groups like Black Lies Matter.
How can you love me and then hate the group I belong to?

What is hateful about trying to end police abuses?

It has nothing to do with the specific group. If you're wearing a firefighter's uniform, you don't festoon it with pins not issued by the fire department. Even T.G.I. Friday's servers aren't allowed to bring in their own pins to wear on their uniforms. They have a box of "approved" pins, from which they can help themselves.

Calling for the murder of innocent LEO's does nothing for ending police abuses.

If this was the basis of the decision, I would have no issue with it. Both police and fire are paramilitry groups, with prescribed uniforms, and doubtless the workers already have dozens of regulations about their appearance while in uniform.

    But.....

Why can the chief wear a "Police Lives Matter" bracelet, while his fighter cannot wear a "Black Lives Matter" lapel pin?

Seems as if both should be allowed, or neither one.

Link? In which post on PH have I EVER called for the murders of any innocent persons?

Do you not realize how deeply offensive this accusation is to me?

Yeah, I'd have to agree there. Neither the pin, nor the bracelet should be allowed. And the fact that the police chief used the "I can make my own rules" argument tells me that the police chief knows, on some level, that he's being hypocritical.

It's Humboldt, of course everyone is white and completely oblivious to the struggles of PoC, completely convinced that their shit doesn't stink. I lived there for 15 years. I'm not in the least surprised.
