If we're talking about people's homes, a false accusation could cause job loss, foreclosure and bankruptcy. How do you give that "back"?

So if I want to ruin your life, all I have to do is call the police and make an accusation and you get your property taken until you are able to prove the charge is bullshit.

You better be nice to your ex-wives is all I got to say.

I understand that you have to defend every criminal, lawbreaker, and illegal. Can an arrest followed by being held in jail lead to job loss, foreclosure, and bankruptcy? So what is your point?

How about they actually charge some of these people with a crime, let alone get a conviction? https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.7ae22dbe31cd

This is ridiculous. Sessions expanded DOJ policy to give policy the power to seize property from innocent people, even in states where it's banned.

Isn't federal law trumping state law wonderful?

Not for those of us who are believers in the 10th Amendment. This is literally giving government the power to steal stuff from innocent people.

What percentage of those who lose property and do not get it back are innocent?

I'm not the one arguing about all the innocent people getting their stuff seized and never returned.
