You're just repeating the lynch mob mentality. No need for that. I already know you have no logical position on the death penalty

My own view is, ONLY one type murder should be death-qualified: torture-murder.
Tharpe could not be executed under a death penalty scheme that I would approve. He cannot be executed in conformity with the US constitution, as interpreted by the SCOTUS last year.
But it is almost certain, he will nonetheless be executed in 72 hours.
If so. this is nothing but racist, state-sponsored lynching, IMO. A white man in Tharpe's position would have had his death sentence commutted to LWOP.
You should pick better battles .

At least you know the sequence of events - Keith Leroy Tharpe | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers , and that the conviction of murder was valid without a doubt .

By double entendre , tharpe removed a wright to life of another with equal protection and consequently removed his own wright to life , albeit procedurally determined through due process ; and , as the act of murder occurred with sufficient https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intention_(criminal_law) there is not a reason to restore that wright to life and subject the individual to natural freedom and impose death .

    My position is logical.

You want to give comfort to those that take the life of someone else and I want to punish them.

You probably want to send them back into society one day don't you?

A logical position would refer to deterrence, with marginal deterrence created (with a punishment system all the way up to the death penalty) to minimise murder rates. You're not referring to that. You're just coming out with the same rhetoric used in backward countries
    Thanks from Madeline

Not the worst death sentence ever.

    Was a heinous crime.

But I'm against the death penalty altogether, so obviously I'm against it here.
    Thanks from Madeline

Nope, has nothing to do with deterrence.

Its about payback for the victims, pure and simple.

If we did it in larger numbers it might make people think twice but that's not the point of it.

I would also add torture to the mix for someone convicted of 1st degree murder.

We have invented lots of creative ways to make people suffer over the centuries, I would employ them all.

Bet you would change your mind if it was someone you cared dearly about.

I bet you would take their life with your own hands if you could.

I doubt you would want them to sit in a comfy jail cell watching cable tv, laughing with their bunkmate while they snack on cheeswhiz.

Which makes your position illogical, given you're left with increases in murder rates through the consequence of brutalization.

Its about payback for the victims, pure and simple.
Please stop telling me you support a lynch mob mentality. I already feckin know.

If we did it in larger numbers it might make people think twice but that's not the point of it.
Wow, a lynch mob mentality is definitely hand-in-hand with backward societies!

And you'd only increase the number of murders: such as increased death of policemen trying to apprehend criminals
    Thanks from Madeline

    Oh well.

Its culling the herd of those with the mental capacity to murder.

If we can expose them then it means we can get rid of them quicker making society a safer place in the long run.

I would train police with the law.....Judge Dredd style.

They can convict, and carry out the sentence on the spot.

Golly, sounding like an advert for Goebbels now!

Back to reality. Your backward attitudes actually increase the likelihood of murder victims. You don't have the education in logic, mind you, to realise it
