    They have to be in existence for anyone to steal them. If there are none to be had in the shops, or in private homes - they can't be stolen. QED.

    I am discussing a logical concept - no guns available; none can be stolen - how, if, and when, Americans were to decide to get rid of their toys is not my concern.
