There is nothing to pretend. Political affiliation is irrelevant to the situation, as is your vicious and virulent hatred.

And what is the reason this 11-year employee finally decided to say something? Maybe the fact that, according to the article, she made only $45K last year. In my state, that is way below starting pay, and the cost of living here is doubtless far less than the Bronx.

Any lawyer who knows of another's serious misconduct (aside from one who has been consulted in this respect for the purpose of obtaining legal advice) has a duty to report it. Being in the DA's office does not make that different in any way.

That is unlikely - unless, of course, something illegal was going on. (I did not read the whole OP article.) It is a matter for bar discpline.

    Surprised much?

Jesus Christ, Ian they were pleading out cases whilst drunk! It's not hard to imagine THAT led to more than a few tragedies.

Plus, if proven, these facts create grounds for appeal for EVERY person convicted by the Bronx DA or who pled out to a crime after 1989.

NY state courts will collapse under that weight. This is severe public corruption. The fact that it was motivated by lust rather than greed should be irrelevant at sentencing.

    Off with their heads!

And that is all related to ethical violations, not criminal acts (unless, of course, there were criminal acts committed). There is no criminal law specific to any lawyers' unprofessional behavior.

There certainly is! You think a prosecutor can lie to the court in order to imprison an innocent person and "no crime occurred"?

    Hell no!

I came out of the womb outraged. My last breath will probably be "fuck Nixon".

I will fight with St. Peter, if the Catholics turn out to be correct about life after death.

Justice and peace are not humanity's natural state. They are humanity's finest, and most ephemeral, achievements.

If you are not pissed off, you aren't paying attention.
