For the life of me, I couldn't understand that, so I began looking around at internet forums to see if I could understand how this could happen.

The first forum I joined was Ann Coulter's. My, my, what a zoo that was. Anyway, over the years I joined three other Republican/conservative forums, and for a time I thought maybe I'm a libertarian. But I'm not 100 percent libertarian. I'm not 100 percent anything except American.

I've traveled some in Mexico, Central America, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and Europe. From all my travels, I've concluded one thing without doubt. Despite all of our country's faults, and we have a long list of those, I wouldn't live anywhere else ... well, maybe Australia. It felt like the US 50 years ago. Love Aussies.

Anyway, a good friend told me about PH, and here I am looking forward to getting the feel of this place

Oh, and no, I never did figure out why GW was re-elected. lol

Welcome to the forum, have an apple cinnamon roll and some Alice Cooper!

(Oh, and I have an old growth cedar tree in my front yard, about the same size as this one...)

It was not included in the property description (I believe it said "timbered," lol.)

I bought the land sight-unseen, you have to because they can be sold in minutes, but what a nice surprise when I got around to visiting!

    Thx

PS I've ALWAYS heard that about Australia. I will make it there one day, hopefully not too far away!
    If I may suggest........

Brisbane. A "small" feeling metropolis. Great climate. Evenings cool quickly in the summer.

The Gold Coast. South of Brisbane. Gorgeous beaches. Clearest water I've ever seen.

Surf with the dolphins at Byron Bay.

I did. My goodness!! Great white shark protectors!

So it's a fairly fast grower. What's the diameter of a 30 footer?

Wow, I'm not drooling over those rolls, but that's because I have enough wherewithal to keep my lips tightly closed.

    And that tree!!!!

We cut only from stumps, huge things from trees like the one in your pic, and bigger. I couldn't kill one of those.

Cedars, yes, yes, when I was in Oregon/Washington in the 70s seeing a logging truck with ONE tree section was common. I couldn't kill one of those either....
    Thanks from Thx1138 and Friday13
