As you point out Davocrat, things aren't that bad. We have some challenges especially economically, but Trump's prescriptions would only make everything much worse because he doesn't even acknowledge or recognize what the real problems are. And we still have some civil rights issues and Trump would do nothing less than set things back on that front. Basically, we just need the Republicans to get the hell out of the way until they regain their sanity.
    Thanks from Davocrat

I think the Internet has caused this concept of an amorphous blob of "not my country anymore." Nobody ever complains of specifics.

Oh, wait...there is that one thing that pisses me off. I'm not allowed to haul an arsenal to a bird sanctuary and occupy it for months. That really chaps my ass.

The rest of the world will shit their pants if we elected that idiot. Just nominating the asshole was enough for them to have serious questions that we may be losing our minds.

The last 15 years have rocked the ship of state steadily. 9/11, wars, economic meltdown, sustained political paralysis, growing income inequality. My answer was only my opinion regarding voting 3rd party in 2016.

What would be accomplished if enough people voted 3rd party so that Trump was elected?

Nobody wants to speak in specifics. It's exactly like Brexit. They just know they don't like "something."

Rock your own boat, if the urge is simply unbearable. Just be careful not to drown the little man in the boat.

You go from full on right wing cranks who swear Obama has changed America from what it "used to be" to "principled" Sanders die-hards who 1) don't really know that much about Sanders background because they've been so swept up in his out-of-the-blue campaign and 2) foolishly buy into RIGHT WING propaganda about some heinous e-mail protocols. This, after "forgiving and forgetting" George W. Bush invading Iraq...where we're still stuck.

Internal tory party politics caused this Brexit insanity, for which there was never any serious demand. Your separation of powers might save you, but only if you get to work on the gerrymandering before it is too late.
