Funny anecdote for ya - conversation with my 14 year old Sunday evening:

Her: "Mom, since we don't have school on Tuesday, BFF was wanting to know if I can spend the night with her Monday night?"

    Me: "Hmm...well, maybe...."

Her: "It's our last night together before America burns to the ground."
    That is awesome,

My kids never cease to amaze me with what they say sometimes.

Sorry to hear that April, I'm glad you were able to vote even if it was for the evil one!

That's cuz you aren't letting her drink at home.

    Typo. The second one.

(Appears we need to slow down here a little. We've been trying to drink away the pain since the polls opened the morning....)

I actually haven't started the drinking yet. I drowned my sorrows over lunch in fried cheese and garlic bread. Then I topped it off with some leftover Halloween candy. And people wonder why I have a lot of grits!

Just found out yesterday my county had the lowest turnout in the entire state. Hard to believe with the polling place backed up from morning until the time it closed.
