Prediction Poll- Which of these will likely occur under a Trump Presidency?

    3 things-

    1. I checked all three.

    2. This is based on a prediction from a writer for conservative "Red State"-dot-com

    3. I expect 1-2 posters to show up on this thread....come after me for doing a "prediction poll". But utterly refuse to offer their own opinions. (No names needed. )

I think there will be a massive infrastructure bill. It will be a compromise with the Democrats. He'll get lots of money for the wall and we'll get money for some of the infrastructure projects that actually need to be done. The wall will NEVER be one continuous wall, but it will be added to.

I also think Trump will do plenty of EOs.

Okay - there's no multi-choice/some of the above option.

There will be a massive infrastruture spending bill
No wall along the entire Mexican border
An "amnesty" bill for undocumented immigrants
Trump will issue "Obama-style" executive orders
Trump will make foreign policy mistakes of the sort the Right went after Obama & Clinton for
    Thanks from GordonGecko and Madeline

    Here's why....in my view...on each-

    1. Trump will stil be trying to unify the country behind him. So if he picks some Extreme Ideologue (I say Scalia-type, you may disagree as you will)....he'll have a public relations fight over it, even if the Nomination is PROBABLY assured of passing McConnell's Senate.

So he'll go with a more "moderate" choice. (Still Rightwing, but not a mouth-frother)

    2. Trump's already promising the infrastructure bill. Repubs AND Dems will sign onto it. Ryan will refuse to raise taxes to pay for it....but will allow McConnell to pack it with pork from the Repub & Dem Senators.

It'll be pure Keynesian economics & deficit spending....even as Ryan promises "austerity" and "fiscal conservatism".

    3. There is NO Republican plan that would ACTUALLY repeal Obamacare....WITHOUT throwing millions off their insurance and offering no reasonable plan for those people to re-acquire it. I don't think even Ryan and his cohorts ACTUALLY believe in the bullshit like "health savings accounts" and "buying across state lines, competition"

Repeal Obamacare...with a replacement that would look ALMOST IDENTICAL to it? Millions lose insurance...the GOP gets swamped in the 2018 midterms.

    4. It'll be some new FENCES along a few hundred miles of the border. More "electronic" or "virtual" wall stuff. Some drones. But Trump's image of a "Berlin Wall on the Rio Grande"?.....not happening.

    5. Naturally they won't call it "amnesty" or "path to citizenship"....it'll be "a FORM of 'legal status'." And with Trump's seal of approval?....the Xenophobes won't be able to raise too much of a stink.

    6. Trump will probably issue a pro-active Executive Order (don't mean his claim to "end Obama's EOs"...I mean do something HE wants, through EO)......before 4th of July next year. "Constitutional Conservatives"....won't mind....will defend him....even PRAISE him for it. Total hypocrisy.

    7. Trump will get snookered, probably by Russia. And the same people who attacked Obama for the Iran Deal?.....will claim "Trump won...even though it LOOKS like he lost to _____."

I'm almost "all of the above".

The amnesty one is tough. I'm not sure the GOP can get any kind of agreement on immigration, even to try to help their new president save face.

Trump made a promise about infrastructure so if he doesn't live up to it he will have a hard time getting re-elected.
