Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), a Freedom Caucus member, was one of six Republicans who voted against a procedural resolution bringing the bill to the floor.

“You know what? I came here to do health care right,” said Gosar, a dentist. “This is one chance we that can get one-sixth of our GDP done right. It starts with here.”

Still, the sales pitches from Trump and Ryan appeared to be having some effect. At least three lawmakers who had previously pledged to vote against the bill indicated that they had changed their minds.

At the heart of the argument: Keeping the Affordable Care Act is a worse outcome than passing a potentially flawed replacement.

“You want to score a touchdown, but sometimes, on the fourth down, you kick a field goal,” said Rep. Joe Barton (R-Tex.), the longest-serving member of Congress in the Freedom Caucus. “The choice is yes or no. I’m not going to vote no and keep Obamacare. That’d be a stupid damn vote.”

Change for the sake of change, just to get a political win, no matter how bad the legislation is, is not conservative.

Here's hoping that there are enough people like Rep. Gosar. And that Rep. Gosar stays strong.

    Also from my link above:

The Congressional Budget Office warned senators on Friday that recalculating the rewritten House bill could take a week or more to produce, said several officials familiar with the discussions, who were not authorized to speak publicly about the matter.

That was expected to upend McConnell’s plan to finish their work and send the legislation to the White House for Trump’s signature before a two-week Easter recess, according to three people briefed on the matter.

Senate budget rules require that party leaders provide an official estimate of how much the legislation would cost and how it would change the deficit before scheduling a vote.

Republicans are too much cowards to own everything.

They put through how many repeal obamacare bills and anti-abortion bills when they knew that it won't go through, now they have the power and nothing. Becuase they don't want to own shit. They do nothing.

When will dumbshit republican voters ever come to their senses and stop being so friggen blind and stupid?

Here are Trump and Pence's promises broken into a million pieces, it's taken from two links provided below:

1, "Earlier Pence, a frequent conduit between Trump and lawmakers, urged Republicans to unite in condemnation of Obamacare but offered few clues as to what its replacement will look like.

He said the administration would keep Trump’s campaign promises to end illegal immigration, build a wall along the Mexican border and rebuild the US military. “But the first order of business is to repeal and replace Obamacare,” he told reporters. “The American people voted decisively for a better future for healthcare in this country and we are determined to give them that.”
Trump is making some big promises: His insurance reform will cover more people and cost less money."

2, “We’re going to have insurance for everybody,” Trump told The Washington Post. “There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can’t pay for it, you don’t get it. That’s not going to happen with us.”

“[They] can expect to have great health care. It will be in a much simplified form. Much less expensive and much better,” he said.

Three senior GOP Hill sources working on health care legislation told CNN Tuesday that they don’t know what Trump meant by the remark about insurance for “everyone”, and they say they are frustrated that Trump is emphasizing the wrong thing. They want to be talking about lowering costs, not expanding coverage — which is what Democrats focus on.

And they say the Hill is in the dark on any bill that Trump may be working on, as they plan their own strategy to replace the law pieces at a time.

On the campaign trail, Trump promised he would “take care of everybody” and that Americans can’t let “people die on the street.” He also said he would press for Medicare to be allowed to negotiate drug prices. He acknowledged all these were not very Republican things to say.

**Republicans had 6 years of Health Care Plan Bills, Trump said he had a plan, now push comes to shove and both the Republicans and Trump prove they don't have a clue about Health Care or about anything else. Empty promises from empty people in suits. LOL.

Last I heard is that there is 35 to 37 nos.

I really believe that all that opposition at town halls were not all crazy liberals as the administration claimed.

I think the members have gotten a lot of flack over the even deeper cuts in the last few day...it is a horrible bill.

I believe more moderates want no part in the dog.

    I say no.
