    .
It will take the Republicans to get on board. As long as they hold the House and Senate there is little chance. Trump would have to grab Merkel's ****** at the podium or something equally egregious.

(Because, he will NOT be Impeached by Jan 20, 2018. #1. GOP House. #2. It takes a LONG time for such things to be processed. #3. There is NO reason to impeach him, outside the deluded paranoid fantasies of leftists....)

Would be cool if he resigned, though.

President Pence could probably get more done.

(although, I would like to see Pence resign as well...President Ryan could then serve the remainder of the current term, then, hold onto office well until 2028. Just THINK of all the wonderful USSC nominations we could make with 12 full years of Republican control....)
@Rorschach the bet is on, I bet Trump will resign, be impeached or die before Jan 20, 2018 and you bet he still will be in office as President on Jan 20, 2018.

The loser picks the song they dedicate to the winner. The loser starts a new thread within one week of either the death, resignation or impeachment or within a week after Jan 20, 2018 which ever comes first and starts it with the words, "I was wrong, you were right" along with a links to the song they dedicate to the winner. Some where in the song it has to have those words or similar that basically say the same thing.

Make a note of the bet and the thread and this post as confirmation.

I believe that Donald J Trump will serve out one term and elect not to run for reelection. I think that his presidency will empower a lot of candidates in 2020 rather than just the two to chose from in the general. I think we could see a viable third party candidate in 2020.

Putin is not the brilliant strategist he thinks he is. His fancy new weapons of war -- cybercrime -- were of very little use for their intended purpose, once the public knew about them.

Cybercrime like his has value as propaganda. What value is propaganda, when the entire planet can observe the man behind the curtain? It loses its patina of authenticity, and there is blowback from a public who feels they were the targets of a con.

I don't think Putin understands any of that. It is especially easy to see in the French elections. A talented cyber-general would have tried to take nations over with enough stealth, people couldn't be sure there was a connection, or thought it was a coincidence.

Not Putin. He has a "spy network" that operates in the full view of every human on earth, so to speak. Annoying (from the POV of American voters.) Not especially threatening.

Yep. If they start to feel as though Trump is adversely effecting their electoral fortunes, they will turn on him.

IMO, it doesn't matter. Trump is so embroiled in business affairs in Europe and Russia, he cannot credibly claim that favoring Putin politically was never motivated by Trump's own greed. And that's just as to the entanglements we know about!

I suspect Trump is still making the big decisions for his business, and proof of that -- that he is still being kept apprised of his business' operations and making at least some decisions -- coupled with the Russia connections?

It all just stinks so bad, you couldn't bear the odor coming off the white house if you were standing on the moon.

Even better, you can prove this type crime with a paper trail of phone records, etc. The same way insider trading is proven.

There'd be no way to bullshit the public, not with a smoking gun in his hand.

Yea, well, I haven't had this sort of bet since I was 8 or so, but, you're on!

I look forward to you wishing for the death of a President.

(That used to be verboten, and, I bet it will be again.....when a DEMOCRAT is in office......)

5, And of course Trumpsters favorite come back it's 'Fake" (Trump made it clear if you don't like what you hear, or read, say its fake).

I may have missed one or two of the Trumpsters favorite come backs (like becoming spelling and typo freaks to avoid saying anything else) when they have nothing else.

We , on the logical side of things, just have to know these asinine comments are the Trump supporters) way of giving up because they have just been beaten in the debate. At that point when you start getting the above excuses know that your logic has won the day. The Trumpsters will keep at it, you might start seeing that the Trumpsters all show up at once to bombard the thread so they can derail it. At that point they will be joined by someone that can give them cover from being banned for derailing.

TO MY FELLOW LOGICAL POSTERS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, JUST KEEP BEATING THEM WITH LOGIC AND FACTS UNTIL THE TRUMSPTERS RESORT TO THE ABOVE AND YOU KNOW YOU HAVE WON THE DEBATE.
This was the main reason Trump won the election. Democrats proved they were not logical. They had an agenda for their elite group and they called anyone that objected to them "Deplorables". You don't get elected by created a divide and now your party is continuing more of the same and will insure they will not be in control until they speak for all Americans rather then just Democrat extremist.
    Thanks from Madeline
