Should adolescents be charged with a crime for willfully having sex with their teachers , if the teacher is going to be charged with a crime ?

Some may propose that because an adolescent could be charged with accessory , that may make it more difficult to have forcible rape by a teacher reported .

Others may propose that the law is capable of determining between circumstances where a student immediately reports an assault , as opposed to one where students repeatedly consents to the activity .

BTW , the teacher woulds still be charged , this is simply an additional charge against the adolescent student .

    Depends.

    In a case like this?
    Teen who fathered teacher's baby

Where boy literally bet money with his friends that he'd take this teacher to bed? And planned and executed a whole operation to seduce her? And later bragged about it to his friends and showed off intimate photos as proof? Hell, yeah, he should be an accessory...

In the eyes of the court a teacher has a special relationship with a student. The court looks down on a teacher that over-steps that position of trust.

The teacher, in the eyes of the law, needs to be cognoscente that he has the influence of that student an must resist all actions by either the student or himself that would put the child or himself in that situation.

Underage children cannot give consent. The question is flawed as it assume an adult responsibility belongs to the children. Adults are supposed to protect them, not take advantage of them and destroy their lives.

There is a general absurdity , among the public , that refers to everyone below the age of 18 as children .

Children cannot give informed consent and the question refers to adolescents , who are transitioning to adulthood and , to some degree , are capable of giving consent and are obligated to accept responsibility for their actions .

Why should adolescents not be informed that enforcement of law will be enacted against them if they are an accessory to an unlawful act of sex with a teacher ?

There are a bunch of adolescent hard legs out there fantasizing and after all , " What do they care when no harm will come to themselves ? " .

How did you rationalize that a victim of attempted murder would have provided informed consent ?

Or is that a reference to charging someone with a crime for employing a euthanasia specialist ?

Children cannot give legal consent period. They are called children because they are underage and their parents would likely want to kill any adult who harms their children or interferes with the growth stages that all children must go through unmolested, unharmed or unchanged by adults who know better than to take advantage of their unformed brains in their teen stages. There is no excuse that can be given that places blame on the child and not fully on the adult. Adults who are healthy know to get children help, not make their situations worse by molesting them. Molestation can follow a child throughout their life and changes who they are.
