Would the GOP & Conservatism be better off, if Jeb Bush had won?

If Bush had won the GOP Nomination and then the Election?

Neil Gorsuch would have been on Jeb's Short List as well.

No Michael Flynn.....no "failed Trumpcare" debacle last month....no insulting our Allies.....not 3am Twitter Tantrums....no Jared & Ivanka & Steve Bannon.......no Sean Spicer.......no 38-42% approval MAYBE?

There's the possibility that the GOP will be better off
in a couple of generations once the stench of Trump
    passes.

We should probably start thinking about a pool/poll/betting
on how many Trumpies will be convicted of crimes.

You've got Trumpsters who call Far Right Freedom Caucus guys "RINOs" and "Establishment".

Apparently their definition of "conservative" is...."utter and slavish loyalty to Trump, no matter what position he takes on an issue...or even when he flip-flops on that issue."

I think it would have been the same. Jeb was uninspiring and boring and yes while he would have been more traditional and rallied the troops in the party, he would have fallen victim to the same things that plagued his brother and his dad. War hawkish behavior, PNAC and a placement of establishment politicians everywhere. He wouldn't have won re-election. The voting public would look at it as "same old boring GOP."

bajisima, one of two Republican Presidents control the nuclear arsenal of the United States....

    one is "boring"?.....

the other flies off the handle if somebody mocks the size of his hands?

Which one is better for the image of the Republican Party and the Conservative Movement?

Jeb bush was a dead horse to make sure Clinton won, and if somehow the games didn't work out, he would at least play ball like the rest of the Bush Dynasty.

Oh sure for the short term Jeb would be better, but long term? Doesn't matter. If you had asked me in Mid November of 2008 about the future of the GOP, I would have told you they were done. Putting up someone like Palin as a serious contender? Plus the democrats had an engaging youthful leader and were full of ideas. I would have bet everything I had that the GOP wouldn't gain back either the presidency, House or Congress for at least two decades. I was wrong. The American public has the attention span of gnats.
    Thanks from GordonGecko
