(CNN)The Justice Department announced charges Monday against a federal contractor with Top Secret security clearance, after she allegedly leaked classified information to an online media outlet.

Maybe it's because I was in the military but I don't condone any leaking of classified information.

If we're doing something wrong, it's the responsibility of those who CAN say someting, TO say something.

I will stand by nothing that does not act in a way deserving of respect.

Agree. Too much of this ends up being partisan and then we end up in a massive dilemma. Leaking of classified information has to be illegal no matter who does it. Otherwise we could end up with some walking free and others like Snowden being hidden away for their entire lives because some deem what he did "bad" but not others. Has to be more consistent.

Government eavesdropping on Americans is an extremely serious matter; the ability to intrude on the private realm is a tremendous power that can be used to monitor, embarass, control, disgrace, or ruin an individual. Because it is so invasive, the technology of wiretapping has been subject to carefully crafted statutory controls almost since it was invented. Ignoring those controls and wiretapping without a court order is a crime that carries a significant prison sentence
