Rational, reasonable people are definitely anti-Trump, whether they are more left or right is irrelevant. Supporting Trump requires a brand of blind partisanship I thought I would never see, even having lived through recent history in America.

Some situations there isn't a great answer. How people react to Trump's NK policy is not going to happen in a vacuum. He's an embarrassment, demonstrably incompetent and inflammatory, the antithesis of everything great and decent about America, so people don't like him. Seems reasonable to me. It also seems reasonable that these ideas people have about Trump will color their opinion of him in lots of areas, including how he handles NK.

If Bill Bellichik makes a call in a SuperBowl and things don't go his way and he loses, people aren't going to castrate him over it, because obviously he knows what he's doing and nobody is right all the time.

But if some flunky with no track record that yelled at reporters and was generally a horrible person made the same call and it didn't work, he might be eviscerated for it.

That's just how life is. If you don't like it, try to mold yourself into a decent human being so people will appreciate your efforts and give you the benefit of the doubt. Try to not be a miserable deplorable shit bag and people will cut you some slack.

Or you can just act like a scum bag and then whine about it when people don't seem to appreciate you.

But then Seoul will be wiped off the face of the earth. This is the elephant in the room.

Really? What could you consider the rational move in regards to the situation with North Korea?

Not necessarily. If the hit was hard enough, and the message clear enough, Pyongyang might understand. The problem is that if North Korea lobs a nuclear missile at the US and we take no action, it sends an even more dangerous message to the rest of the world.

If a missile is launched anywhere near the US it of course will be made to look like it was North Korea. I said "look like". Trump is the very definition of corruption.

I selected "Other" based on Trump not having any philosophical foundation to attack or not attack. He is surrounding himself with military Hawks and who knows when or if they can prod Trump into an invasion. In that sense l'il Trump is rather like l'il Kim.

I would try to stroke that dude's ego until he was blinded by the supply. Tell him how awesome he is, just feed him that constant supply for his narcissism, keep laying it on as thick as possible. The end game is that eventually he'll just fucking die, and the North Koreans can figure out their next move. In the meantime, nothing happens to anyone, Seattle doesn't get nuked, millions of innocent North Koreans don't get vaporized, etc.

What if they attack? No different from any other nation. The idea of a so-called "pre-emptive" attack has been demonstrated to be so easy to distort and manipulate, to justify obvious money grabs, that it's not a legitimate solution to much of anything.

Do you think that North Korea isn't launching missiles? Their leader goes on television and social media to show off their newest technology.

Yeah, but they also claim to be launching missiles off of subs and the post footage of U.S. subs launching missiles on YouTube as evidence.

    Just saying.
