Will Trump encourage war with North Korea?

Seems like this is possible, if only to shore up 45's foundering administration.

    What do you think?

I think he might. And I won't support it.

Yeah, it's a real possibility. If Trump decides that he needs a "real" war -- and he might -- then North Korea is the best candidate for his enemy. If the North Koreans continue their feverish pace of missile testing, then I think there would be a reasonable base of support in this country for a preemptive strike that would very possibly escalate quickly into a full-scale war. But... I suspect that the Kim regime is fundamentally rational. They'll back off, particularly now that we're seeing increased Chinese pressure. They'll deal, I predict, and Trump will find himself without a compelling casus belli. If that's the case, then we'll see... Trump may need to gin up some sort of Gulf of Tonkin "incident" if he wants a free hand. If something like that happens, then we'll know the score, eh?

    Cheers.

He'll get too much blowback from even the military, who will be too scared to engage in anything with that clown in the driver's seat. If you were a General, what would you advocate? I'd try to put him off totally and pray the American people woke up in 4 years and sent him packing...so I could get back to going to war for rich people who know how the game is played again.
